We originally purchased the 1997 8-track version which came in a work of art itself - a cardboard so-called Chinese box with 6 main parts each containing one of the collaborative pieces, opening in both directions to reveal color and black and white photos from the entire collection. We still have it but no way of playing the obsolete tapes themselves which we enjoyed for many years. It's wonderful to have Sony's newest DVD version, 3 disks each containing two technically flawless collaborative pieces. The collaborations between Ma and other great artists are still mind-blowing and awesome. Our favorite is Canadian film director Atom Egoyan's "Sarabande," created around Bach's Suite No. 4 featuring Egoyan's band of topnotch actors and Yoyo Ma playing himself in such an ingenious way. Really highly recommended!
