Baby Proof Cabinet Locks - 6 Child Safety Straps for Fridge, Toilet & Doors - Easy Installation for Home Safety

I've tried a couple different brands of those inside-cabinet latches, with mixed success (my 18-mo daughter can pull hard enough to detach the adhesive ones, and the screw-in ones are a PITA to install correctly), but I got these to keep the freezer shut, and they work great for both the freezer and cabinets! I have one on the freezer, one holding the two under-sink doors shut, and one keeping the cabinets where i keep the appliances shut. My only complaint is they don't work well for single kitchen cabinets (without a corresponding paired door facing in the opposite direction), so I still have to use the internal latches for those.I had to remove one after testing it on a single door, and it pried up fine with a butter knife without any paint damage, although it wasn't reusable. They're dead easy to install, obviously. They seem quite sturdy overall -- my daughter hasn't been able to force them off, and although the cabinets have a little give in them when locked, they don't make that annoying/appealing "click click" noise when pulled like the internal latches, so she doesn't actually test them that often. My one warning is that the first one I installed, I must not have pressed the plastic bit hard enough when I assembled it to the desired size, because when I tugged on it, the strap slipped loose. So make sure you give everything a good tug after assembly to make sure it's solid!These were my favorite when we bought the 8 pack a couple months ago but I just put a new one of these up today to replace a different brand we got along with the originals and one has already popped off. May just be a dud. Other ones are a good as the last set so far though! Thankfully keeping my toddler out of the dresser.UPDATE : it hasn't even been three days and she's already broken 3 of them. She isn't even 2 yet. She was able to pull the rest of the lock strap out of the part that supposedly permanently locks it in. She is ruining my dresser drawers. This is absolutely awful.They work great! Have had two installed for two years now. Just be super careful cutting to the right length. Got one strap too short and it pulled out of the lockdown part and then it wouldn’t work. But that was my fault! Take your time to install correctly!Nice that they come with the alcohol wipe pads for installation. Would be nice if they were reusable, but once you measure and fit it, it locks in place, so measure twice and cut once! The work at least on me, when I forget my oven or dishwasher is locked and I go to open it! My 1 yr old can't reach quite that high yet so can't speak to the reviews on toddlers tugging the straps out. I'm sure some toddlers can, because toddlers can do anything, I've been warned, but I suspect a few may have been a case of user error, didn't cut the strap and lock the end properly (I ignored the strap cutting instruction at first too). So far great find for the value.I was using the locks on cabinet to earthquake proof them. The locks held but the strip that locks them together need super glue to stay locked.I have 2 cats that are very curious and love to open cabinets. These keep them out! The only issue I had was figuring out the length before cutting off excess. Some clearer instructions would have been helpful. Regardless, I figured it out and they seem to work very well. So far, cats haven’t gotten in those cabinets. Would purchase again.Great product starting out, keeps baby out of stove's bottom drawer and helps keep the toy box lid up. The only issue so far was the toilet. It adheres to the lid perfectly, but it had an issue with the porcelain. It would be great for a while and then just come off after about 10 times (give or take). This could be user error though, I could have placed it in a different spot, given it a little more slack. I'll be trying it again with some other adhesives, not a big deal.The seller actually sent me a thank you card, which was such a personal touch, very professional!These are supposed to be user friendly, but every time I manage to install one wrong and have to keep buying new ones.. if you don't get it right the first time you can't do it over which has resulted in a bunch of these in my kitchen that I now cannot remove. The extra adhesive it comes with doesnt stick when you try to put it on a dysfunctional one.. They work well most of the time but do not work on certain surfaces and sometimes do not attach to the lock as they are made to do. I definitely prefer these to the ones that require tools which are much more complicated.
